About Sheila

Sheila Shalhevet, a trained photographer, has traveled extensively in Europe and the Far East capturing atmosphere and special moments. She is also totally devoted to her family and friends around the world who are favorite subjects of her photography.
Sheila has participated in numerous group exhibitions including the Photography Museum at Tel Hai, and the Maritine Museum in Haifa, Israel as well as many very successful one man exhibits in Israel and around the world
Publications include travel articles accompanied by photographs in the Israeli Magazine "Teva Ha'dvarim" which means "The Nature of Things" in english and "Atmosphere", the house magazine for El Al Airlines. Sheila is a frequent writer and photographer for the popular travel website www.postcardsforyou.com edited by George Medovoy
In an ongoing quest to enlarge her photographic vocabulary over the years she has studied independently with such fine photographers as Claudia Marcozzi, Andre Gallant, Dubi Roman (http://www.dubiroman.com) and currently Nurit Yarden.
Shalhevet has been a photographer for the Save a Child Heart Foundation founded by the late dr. Ami Cohen since 2002 and volunteers her time and photographs in order that the world can see the wonders performed by the physicians, volunteers and staff of this organization. Sheila lives in israel with her husband Yosi Shalhevet. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
